Well, i've been in New York since thursday morning. It's been quite the adventure so far. We took the red eye flight wednesday night and arrived in New York about 4:50 am ... new york time......as soon as we got there we hopped on a bus to times square....after finding breakfast we hopped on a 4 hour bus tour of new york. It was a really good tour buuut we were so tired...since we hadn't slept since the morning before. We saw everything you need to see in new york. times square, china town, central park, ground zero, the brooklyn bridge, etc. After the tour we checked into the hotel and took a two hour nap before heading to dinner and The Lion King!!! The Lion King was pretty good. They had really cool visuals and stuff.
Yesterday we went shopping around Times Square for a few hours while Lucy took dance classes. After she got back we went to dinner at this really cool little restaurant where the waiters and waitresses sang for us! It was really fun....
After dinner we went and saw Wicked!!! I absolutely loved it! I was always scared of the wicked witch until i saw wicked. In fact, she's actually good. All she wanted to do was save the animals!!! Poor little witch. So yeah, i usually don't like broadways that much...but i loved wicked! the singing and dancing and stage were amazing. I would highly recommend it.
Today we went to the Statue of Liberty. It was also our first shot at the subway! Thanks to my amazing navigational skills we had a success. (i knew there was a reason i was invited) The Statue of Liberty was cool. But the security to get in was very intense! I've never been through anything like it...even at the airports! The like airpuffed us even! haha! after the statue of liberty we went back to china town to negotiate with little chinese people for their stolen products. It was quite the experience.....i liked it.
So now we are just chilling in the hotel room gettin ready for bed. Tomorrow is our last full day here. We will most likely be spending the day at Central Park and then in the afternoon we've got a tour of radio city. Anyway, hope you're all havin as much fun as we are!
I'm so jealous! Mostly for the Wicked thing (I so wish I could talk Phil into it! I'm gonna end up having to go with my step mother in law or aunt or something. He sucks!) but also of course because I want to be there too! :D The subway system is REALLY easy when you know where you're going. But the first time I went there I didn't know ANYTHING about it, I learned it from going there and then looking at a map of it after so I could understand where everything was! So pretty much everything in my head there was in relation to Central Park, and Times Square cause those were the two places I knew for sure where they were! haha! We went to our friend's apartment and she told us how to get there, but I had no idea what I was doing. I just followed her instructions! Wow I ramble way too much. I just wish I was there!
