Last full day in cali!

For our last day in Cali we drove up the PCH north. It is so pretty! We only went from Santa Monica up to Santa Barbara because we were staying down in long beach that night and we wanted to head down to Newport coast to explore a bit out there.

The waves were goin crazy and there were a lot of surfers out! It was a lot of driving that day but the scenery was absolutely stunning! There is a Marriott vacation club out on Newport coast and Dan wanted to check it out. Let me say....fancy!! The ppl there must pay fortunes for their timeshares there!

That night we went to a marina somewhere south of Venice beach (I forgot what it was called) and that was really pretty!

Now we are just heading home :( we flew into Vegas and are now driving home hoping that the roads aren't too bad from the storm!

We had a really fun trip and it was so nice to get a weekend away from what we are used to. I'm so glad I finally it to take Dan to California :) thank you so much for the buddy passes krista!!

Cali day 2

We woke up to rain in San Diego so we were a little worried how the day would turn out! We drove out to Coronado island which is pretty sweet! Then we drove to the America/Mexico border and looked at Mexico. Lol!

After that we headed back up north and got to experience the fun LA traffic. We walked around Hollywood blvd for awhile and saw the stars on the ground and some sweet famous spots like the Chinese theater.

We then drove around up in the hills for a bit and saw some beautiful views. We drove out to our hotel in malibu (which ended up being in residence inn so it had a kitchen and everything! Sooo nice) then we drove out to Santa Monica and walked around the pier they had a Bubba Gump on the pier so we ate there and it was way good!

So far it's been a really fun trip and we're glad to be in Cali while Utah is getting dumped on by snow!

Alright, I know I've been REALLY bad at posting on here! Last semester was hectic. I will eventually get around to doing a little recap on last year. But for now, I'm going to talk about Cali!

My best friend Krista works for jet blue and was able to get us buddy passes for Cali. Dan had some vacation time he had to use and I promised him a trip to Cali since his birthday! We just haven't been able to go until now!

We flew into long beach from las Vegas yesterday morning and took our time driving down the coast highway to San Diego! It is so beautiful and we love how warm it still is even though it's January. I've seen so many wranglers driving down the road with their tops off still and I must say, I am really jealous!

Anyway, when we got to San Diego we called our friend Jillian who is going to school out here and she showed us around a bit. We went to mission beach which is really really pretty! Then this cool pizza place for dinner. It was really good seeing her and hanging out for the night.

Well now we're about to stop our second day and I will try to post about it here later today or tomorrow! Here's some pics from our first day!
