HAWAII

Dan and I had a blast in Hawaii!! It was so much fun to be able to spend all that time with Hayley and Aaron. It was also nice being there with "locals" so they knew all the fun and not so touristy things to do!!

The first day we went to the Swap Meet which is this really cool Flea Market at the Stadium. If you ever go to Hawaii I definitely suggest going there. After that we went to Pearl Harbor which is such a cool place. It's so eery being on the USS Arizona memorial knowing what you are standing on top of.

After Pearl Harbor we went to leave to go to the beach and Hayley, the wonderful oh so smart sister of mine, had left the lights on in her car so we came back to a dead battery. That was a fun hour we waited for someone to come jump it!! Anyway, after we were up and running again we went to Waimanalo beach (i think) down by Hayley and Aaron's place.

Thursday we woke up and decided to spend the day in North Shore. First we made a stop at the Dole Plantation for some delicious Pineapple Ice cream. We stopped at Turtle Beach and there were tons of turtles in the water which was really cool. Then we hung out at Waimea Bay for a few hours lounging. It was also Dan's first time swimming in the Pacific Ocean :) After a few hours at the beach we went to the famous Moztumotos for some shave ice. (it was a fat day haha) then of course we had to stop at a shrimp shack for some fresh shrimp!! On the way back to Kaneohe we stopped at this lookout across from BYU Hawaii that was pretty cool. We then drove back to Hayley and Aaron's house in Kaneohe to pick up Aaron and do the lighthouse hike! It was very pretty.

Friday morning we woke up and did a hike that over looks the south east side of the island (i think haha) it was so awesome and one of those hikes only the locals know about so we saw only one other person. It was such an awesome view!! Then we went down to the blowhole which was pretty sweet. After that we went to Bellows Beach. My FAVORITE beach while we were there. It is so beautiful!! And not crowded whatsoever. Friday night we went to the Luau at Paradise Cove. It was a lot of fun and the food was pretty good. We played some old hawaiin games and I got to hold a Parrot!!

The amazing view from our hike!

Saturday we woke up and went boating out to the Kaneohe Sand Bar with Hayley and Aaron and some of their friends. That was really cool! We got there before the tide went up so it was sand, and then about 45 min later all the sand was covered under a foot of water or so. The boys went snorkeling while us girls stayed at the boat and chatted. It was a lot of fun. Later that day we drove to Waikiki to spend the night. We had a pretty sweet view from our hotel room!

Sunday mostly consisted of walking around Waikiki and all the shops. We also went out on one of the high speed Catamarans which was such a blast! We headed back to Kaneohe and were gonna go back to Bellows beach one more time but it started raining. So we just headed back home and got all packed up and such. Aaron cooked us a really good crab leg dinner and we just relaxed and hung out. We flew out Monday morning and even got breakfast made for us by Aaron at 4am. What a great guy!! I'm so glad Hayley found him!! (not just for the cooking, he is a great guy because of many other reasons too haha)

Anyway, i'm so glad that we were able to have the opportunity to visit Hayley and Aaron in Hawaii. It was so great having that time with Hayley and getting to know Aaron better. If you ever have a chance to go to Hawaii, do it!! It's beautiful!!!

This is my favorite picture of the whole trip and it makes me so happy! I love him so much!!! :)
