I am proud to say that I got accepted into the radiology technician program starting in the fall. Rumor has it there were 64 applicants and they only accepted 11 people!! (I'm not sure how true that is, but i do know they only took 11 ppl, and it is very competitive to get into) It has been a long road and a lot of work, but it all paid off! I am so grateful I got my current job last August. (Radiology technician assistant at Alta View Hospital) I know for a fact it helped me get into the program. I also know exactly what to expect while I'm in the program because I work with Rad Techs all day long. As well as the students currently in the program. They have all been really good at teaching me stuff already so I'll have a good head start. I am so excited to be starting the program. It's a great feeling to know that this time in two years I'll be eligible to get a job at a starting rate a lot better than what I'm getting right now. I have worked so hard to get accepted, and I'm so happy to finally see it here! Now comes the fun part of being full-time in school (boo, not looking forward to that part of it). All those late nights studying for entrance exams, and months of looking for a job in a radiology dept, etc totally paid off!! I can't wait to finally be able to take those X-rays! Time to enjoy the summer because in 3 months I will have zero free time!!!
