The question has been "Popped"=]

I am happy to announce that Dan and I are engaged!!!! (about time, right? haha) We are both SO excited to be officially getting married and actually planning a wedding instead of just talking about it. Last weekend we went down to Lake Powell to camp at Lone Rock with some friends. Looking back, I should've seen the signs....but I was just so convinced it wasn't going to happen at Powell that I dismissed them. The night we got there he was so concerned about where he was going to keep his backpack...I couldn't understand why he was so worried about his backpack which i assumed had 3 days worth of clothes in. (obviously not knowing he had my ring in there haha) The next day (May 31) we drove up to Alstrom Point (my FAVORITE overlook of the Lake) He was acting completely normal, we all ate lunch and took in the view. At one point I kinda walked off on my own and was staring at the Lake, then Dan came up to me and we just started talking....having a normal conversation. (I remember looking back at one point and seeing Chris and Tea standing about 50 feet back just staring at us which i thought was odd....but really didn't think too much about it.) Anyway, Dan and I do this silly little thing where one of us will say "I love you" the other will say "I love you more" so the other will say "Prove it" and so the one proving will come up with some dumb explanation to "prove it". So this happened....and I was the one to tell Dan to "prove it". The next thing I know he was on one knee proposing to me!!!!! I was SO surprised!!! I remember saying "are you serious?" like three times lol!! My ring is beautiful and I haven't been able to stop looking at it all week. He did an amazing job. Anyway, we are so excited and so overwhelmed with all the congratulations. Here is a picture my friends got of us when Dan proposed =]

So that's that!! We took both Gracie and Cooper down with us and they did GREAT!! Gracie definitely remembers the lake and was "at home" from the beginning. Cooper seemed to love it as well. He even got in the water and swam a little bit on his own which Gracie never did at his age....so i was pleased about that! He is definitely going to be a water dog like his sister :) All in all it was a very fun-filled weekend. We will obviously be letting people know more about the wedding plans when we know more! As of now, we're thinking Moab next May!! So we'll see :)
